Notes
The first edition of this Greek Concordance by William Fiddian Moulton (1835-98) and Alfred Shenington Geden (1857-36) appeared in 1897. It was Based on the Greek texts of Brooke Foss Westcott (1815-1901) and Fenton John Anthony Hort (1828-92), published in 1881 and compared with the texts of the eighth edition of Constantin von Tischendorf (1815-74). It has remained in print ever since and the fourth and fifth editions appeared in 1963 and 1978 respectively, the latter being completely revised and reset. The Concordance is regarded as an essential source for New Testament scholars.
