This Act gives the powers granted by an Act at the beginning of the reign to the Lord Warden of the Cinque Ports additionally to the Deputy Warden and Lieutenant of Dover Castle. The post of Lord Warden had become an honorary one and it was the Deputy who in practice exercised the authority. The Act refers to unlawful actions of boatmen in the Cinque Ports area and to questions of salvage.
