Nautical and other patriotic ballads by James Rennell Rodd, 1st Baron Rennell (1858-1941). Educated at Haileybury and Oxford, he entered the diplomatic service in 1883 and served as British ambassador to Italy, 1908-19 and as MP for St Marylebone, 1928-32 before he was raised to the peerage. A handsome morocco binding by Bumpus.
