8vo. 7.5 x 4.75 pp. [iv] + 40 pp. In limp green wrapper with black title. Front spine edges sunned, otherwise very good copy. Small initial on first blank free endpaper. Poems in three sections on Fakenham (Norfolk), Folkestone and 'Etcetera', by George Bazeley Scurfield (1920-91), poet, author on home baking and, after wartime military service, a local politician. The Folkestone section includes seven verses; the poem, A Wide Range references the town's private schools and the one entitled Marlene at the Central, the local cinemas of the fifties and beyond, the Central, Savoy, Playhouse and Odeon, as well as the Pleasure Gardens Theatre. The author's connection with the town is not known.
