Hand-coloured steel engraving drawn by t. boys and engraved by e. findon. from finden's famous 'views of the ports and harbours' which was issued several times between the late 1830s and 1850.
Item Description
8 x 7 inches. Framed and glazed using conservation materials. Overall size 18 x 15 inches.
Notes
The ramshackle collection of houses and sheds that made up the Stade provides a picturesque and romantic study. All have now disappeared, with the exception of the Parish Church in the background. A Folkestone lugger is at rest in the foreground and figures dot the distance.
