Illustrated by full page photographic plates of the new library, civic dignitaries and regalia, etc. Decorated with red head and tailpiece vignettes.

Notes

A handsomely produced publication to mark the opening of the new library and to commemorate the role of the local donors and civic dignitaries. It includes the Mayor's address, with comments on the role of libraries, and a portrait of Andrew Carnegie, who donated £6,000 for the erection of the building.
