The first publication, in a limited, numbered, private press edition, of four short stories by D. H. Lawrence with a Reminiscence by David Garnett (1892-1981), writer, publisher and prominent member of the Bloomsbury Group. Garnett read Love Among the Haystacks in manuscript when it was written in 1912 and in the same year was with Lawrence in the Italian Alps, a journey which inspired the writing of the two stories, A Chapel/ A Hay Hut Among the Mountains.
