Minor wear to extremities, but otherwise a very good clean copy. Presentation inscription from author on half title. Illustrated by 16 pages of black and white photographic plates and by double page map at end. A study in the diffusion of Sub-Saharan African culture to North and South America. It covers art, literature and ethnography in general. Janheinz Jahn (1918-73) was a German scholar of African culture. The work was first published in Germany in 1958.
