Slight toning to edge of paper Sir Edward John Poynter, 1 st Baronet GCVO, PRA ( 20 March 1836 - 26 July 1919 ) was an English Painter, designer, and draughtsman, who served as President of the Royal academy. Sir Leslie Matthew ward (1851-1922) was a portrait artist and caricaturist, using the pseudonym, 'SPY'. He produced work for the British society magazine, Vanity fair (published 1868-1914) for over 40 years.
