Notes

A handbook of rules and regulations and advice for P and O officers, outlining duties of certain individual officers, discipline, navigation, safety, cargo, passengers, mails, fuel, service personnel and government passengers. The handbook ends with some reflections and appendices on uniforms and apprentices. A chance survival as officers leaving the service had to hand in these rule books and most were presumably discarded when superseded by a later issue.
