Bound in original cloth, gilt with gilt block of seal on front board, in original wrapper, which has earlier tape repair to head of spine and lower portion of front inside flap torn out. Extremities a little worn and occasional foxing but otherwise a reasonable interior. Stamps of Ipswich Public Libraries, including at foot of title and on plate margins, partly removed armourial bookplate and ink inscription on first free endpaper.
