Guide to Sevenoaks and the surrounding area. It includes routes for rambles and country drives and natural history notes. The main text is preceded and followed by an evocative selection of period advertisements. Since the fourth edition of 1905, Salmon's Guide has been adopted as the Official Guide by Sevenoaks UDC. This version is a little shorter than the previous one and the folding map no longer appears, although seven extra colour plates have been added. Joseph Salmon started publishing his Sevenoaks guide around 1880 and this pictorial guide for the Diamond Jubilee in 1897.
