Notes
Sixteen chapters on the theme of fly fishing, edited by Hugh Tempest Sheringham (1876-1930), well known as an angling author and beautifully illustrated by his brother, the artist, George Sheringham (1884-1937). At the beginning is a memoir of Hugh Sheringham. The contributors include Arthur Ransome and the rural novelist, John Moore (1907-67), born in Tewkesbury, who was also the joint editor of the work, one of his early appearances in print.
