Illustrated by photographic frontispiece and by numerous text figures. Illustrated descriptions of the flies followed by a comprehensive name index by Roger Woolley (1877-1959) a expert fly tyer. The first edition was published 1938; articles reprinted from The Fishing Gazette, which appeared 1877-1966.
