Notes
The first comprehensive survey of nineteenth century stained glass. The book examines the pioneer workers, the mature work of the 1850s and 1860s, to High Victorian Gothic in general and re-examines the importance of William Morris's firm, founded in 1861. The later chapters cover the Aesthetic Movement of the 1870s and the Arts and Crafts workers of the 1880s and 1890s.
